I have often considered starting a blog and have wanted to do it many times. Problem is, I would often ask myself the following question: What would you write about? Who would read it? When would you have time to do it? I still do not have answers to these question but have realized that overanalyzing can be paralyzing. So, I'm just going to throw myself out there. Maybe I'll talk about issues in the Philadelphia community. Maybe I can share business skills and expertise. I could talk about issues surrounding landlording. The options are endless and I'm eager to get started.
On another note, thinking about the post title reminds me of something I mentioned in a meeting at work today. I said change is usually met with a great deal of resistance. Why is this? Why don't we welcome the changes in life much like we accept the changes in seasons? A MIT-based author, researcher and educator declare that people don't resist the change; they resist being changed. I beg to differ, people often fear change. How many goals have you set for yourself that you just haven't achieved? If I would reveal how many times I've said that I would get up at 5am and do my Taebo work out, I'd be embarrassed. Guess where I usually am at 5am…you guessed it, still in my bed. Sleep. Not looking forward to getting up and ready for work.
But we know that change is inevitable. Each day we have a great opportunity to be a better person and work toward positive change. Each day we have opportunities to research new career paths, strategize about starting a business, devise a plan to return to school. Time waits for no man.
